After having a look at the trailer of War 2, the writer has a gut feeling that the film will not meet the mammoth expectations that come with the film.
Here the business doesn't mean, business of 300-400crores; the business expected by the industry is 600-700crores, and that will be very tough for the film from the asset released today, trailer.
Frankly, there is nothing in the trailer that looks out-of-this-world or mind-boggling. The trailer of War still looks much better and crisp, even after when one has seen War multiple times.
The challenge for YRF in the spy-universe is to constantly innovate, that innovation quotient is grossly missing in the trailer. t was the same case with Tiger 3 and the film was a gross under-performer.
The heavily-accented dialogue delivery of NTR Jr. is also a huge-downer.
All this can change though, if the film has a superhit song. There is scope and the industry has already seen what two huge-hit songs did for Saiyaara, produced again by YRF.
With the release, only three weeks away, the film will need a hugely innovative marketing campaign to meet the huge trade expectations, else it can be a downer like Tiger 3.
