Not Just A Review - Sarzameen

Poor man's Shakti!

When a film in spite of a thrilling premise bores you within the first 15-minutes, you know something is grossly wrong. Sarzameen is that kind of film.

The basic premise is copied from Amitabh Bachchan & Dilip Kumar starrer Shakti; while Shakti had high-points, Sarzameen is a loooong yawn-yarn.

Good the film wasn't made for theatrical release, else it would have added to a long list of disasters marring Bollywood.

While Ibrahim Ali Khan was just about average in Nadaaniyan, here his acting 'skills' or rather lack of it, are exposed to hilt. No timing, stiff body-language, Sara Ali Khan can surely give her bhaiya few acting-lessons.

Since this is, 'Not Just A Review', the film can easily be summed-up in two sentences. Sarzameen is an atrociously scripted and directed movie. Ironically the title is so apt, sar ko zameen per patak do.

The OTT's complaining that the business is going down, is due to greenlighting such films.
