PRESS RELEASE - SPIRIT OF FREEDOM FILM FESTIVAL

Panaji, 8th August 2011

The inaugural ceremony of the festival was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri. Digamber Kamat, Government of Goa today, he was overwhelmed with the response received for the various competitions organized for the students and encouraged the Entertainment Society of Goa, to get the citizens more involved through the medium of patriotic films he said “we need to be more knowledgeable about our country”.

The winners of the various competitions joined in the lamp lighting ceremony along with the General Manager, ESG, Shri. Shripad Naik.


















Various competitions were organized as an initiative to evoke patriotism among students, winners of the various competitions are listed below:

Winners of the Quiz Competition (Higher Secondary Section)
1st, Mast. Prajal Velingkar and Mast. Vishwanath Gadgil from Shri. Bhumika Higher Secondary School, Parye Sattari

The Prize Distribution ceremony was followed by the screening of the Film “Chota Sipahi”.

Spirit of Freedom Film Festival organized by the Entertainment Society of Goa, is scheduled from the 8th till the 11th of August 2011 at Ravindra Bhavan (Margao) and Maquinez Palace (Panaji).
