  • Singham Again was highly anticipated in the trade to offset the lull created at the Box-office post Stree 2, which came almost 75 days back!
  • Will Singham Again fulfill trade expectations. Read on!
Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgan) has been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir where the dreaded terrorist Omar Hafiz (Jackie Shroff) tries to assassinate him. Singham nabs him and puts him behind bars. Hafiz though warns Singham that very soon an aide of his will strike at Singham.

To get to this unnamed aide, Singham asks ACP Shakti Shetty (Deepika Padukone) to arrest three lieutenants of this aide - Sarath (Ankit Mohan), Ranga (Chetan Chitnis) and Birju (R. Siddarth).

The aide is identified as Danger Lanka; later revealed to be Omar’s grandson, Zubair Hafiz (Arjun Kapoor),.

Zubair wants to take revenge of the killing of his terrorist father and terrorist family. He kidnaps Avani (Kareena Kapoor) so that he can secure the hand-over of his grandfather together with surrender of Singham, Simbba (Ranveer Singh) and Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar).

Singham plans a rescue mission, in which he is helped by two new characters of the cop-universe Shakti Shetty and Satya Bali (Tiger Shroff).

The story is in the masala fare format; while first half is average, it is the second half that packs in a solid punch with a lot of whistles ad claps.

Before the writer proceeds with the review further, a lot of bad blood was drawn because of the clash; resulting in the producers of the other film claiming copyright for the signature tunes of the characters. The signature tune of Singham is missing in the film and that dilutes the impact of many scenes in the first half.

Having said that the film is an enjoyable fare and if at all few audiences feel that the film is lacking somewhere, it is because of the missing signature tune with which Singham is identified worldwide.

In the end, Singham Again's second half delivers a solid punch and more than offsets the missing elements in the first half. The film will make sure that everyone associated with the film, even the exhibitors have a wide smile on their faces after the show ends. The film also sets up the space for the 'Cop Universe'.
