Cinema l Dhurandhar Goes On Historic Run in Week 2

Dhurandhar made news for all the right reasons; though there is a section of pseudo-leftist propagandists that tried to find all the wrong reasons with the film.

A self-styled critic, Anupama, found political agenda in the film, if there was any political agenda it is in the films of her husband, Vidhu with films like Mission Kashmir, PK, Shikara to name a few - didn't these films promote a certain narrative?

No wonder her biased review was pulled down by The Hollywood Reporter, India. The guild she is a chairperson of with some 60-70 members doesn't and will never represent the sentiments or feelings of 12,000 film critics that India boasts of! Hope she is more responsible pushing aside biases and personal agendas in her future reviews.

Setting the negativities apart, Dhurandhar did, what so-called 'spy pulp-fiction' films couldn't - It is seeing a historic second week with record second Friday collections of Rs.34.72 crores. It means the audiences are liking, and lining-up for the film, irrespective of Anupamas, Deepas, Arfas, Sucharitas spewing venom.

If the film is not hit by Avatar: Fire and Ash, Dhurandhar is on the course to become the highest grossing Indian film ever!
