Dhurandhar is on a bullish run; the success was cemented by the fact that the biggest film production-house and probably the first to have multiple releases in a year - YRF congratulated the team of Dhurandhar.

Interestingly, the lead in Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh, made his debut in a YRF film, Band Baja Baraat.

The film set many records - few of the prominent ones that will hold for long are -
  • Highest grossing Indian film in a single language (All other top grossers are multiple language releases)
  • Double-digit figures for 29 consecutive days
  • Most 50+ crores single day collections
  • 1st film to hit 100+ crores (115.72cr) in it's 4th week
The sheer hold of the run can be gauged from the fact that Dhurandhar pipped all the releases that followed in the next five weeks into a distant second. This includes the most expensive film in the world and the biggest film in the world, Avatar - Fire and Ash - which was hit both savagely and severely by Dhurandhar onslaught.

Experts opine that there is only one film in the near future that can break Dhurandhar's record and that is Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayan that releases Deepawali 2026 - yes, there is Dhurandhar 2 on March 19 before that but trade-analysts say the screens will be divided with Toxic and the film might not set records.

But then in Cinema, you never say no!
