Goa, undoubtedly the leading destination magazine in the country is
proud to announce its official partnership with the much-awaited 6th
Marathi Film Festival to be held in Panjim between the 28 and 30th of
June, 2013.
Over the last 3 years, Planet-Goa has been seen
to be partnering with other high – decibel and prestigious events hosted
in Goa such as the Goa Ad fest, The Grape Escapade, Goa Carnival,
Friendz Freedom, etc and has attained the status of preferred partner
among the several mainstream events. The 6th Marathi Film Festival is
yet another feather in its cap.
Planet-Goa as a brand and product line has been
in existence for almost 3 years now. Set-up with a vision to promote
Goa as India’s premier Holiday destination, the products have been
carefully and meticulously designed and created, so as to fit in with
this vision. The magazine is distributed in Goa and around India in
other metros and major cities, apart from a unique Overseas

visit to Goa. This association with the 6th MFF corresponds with

about Goa’s major happenings.
This
year at the festival, 15 carefully selected and widely acclaimed Marathi
films will be screened across three major venues in Panjim viz. Kala
Academy, Maquinez Palace and Inox. The festival will be inaugurated on
the 28th of June with a glamorous red carpet ceremony, graced by
celebrities like Kiran Rao, Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar and doyens of the
Marathi Industry such as Mahesh Manjrekar, Gauri Shinde, Sachin
Khedekar, Sonali Kulkarni, Milind Soman and Smita Tambe.
The
organizers of the festival, Vinsan Graphics have claimed that the
one-of-its kind film festival that showcases Marathi films will just be
getting bigger and better this year. Gautam Mukerjea, Founder &
Publisher of Planet Goa feels this partnership will be instrumental in
further publicizing the Festival. He says, ‘The Marathi Film Festival is
a unique festival that goes above and beyond to make each filmmaker and
