Bharat Biotech announced recently that Covaxin will cost Rs. 600 per dose to state governments & Rs. 1200 per dose to private hospitals. However, it also stated that to will continue to provide vaccine for India's vaccination drive at Rs. 150 per dose, which is distributed for free, by government of India.
It also stated that over 50% of its Covaxin capacities have been reserved for the central government supplies.
With vaccination open to 18 years and above from May 1, everyone is accepting a massive surge in people wanting to get the vaccine, more so, because of the rising cases of covid-19 at such an alarming rate.
