Year after year at IFFI, the point of discussion after film-screenings and at parties is - the film that will win the coveted 'Top Honor'. 52nd IFFI was no different. While everyone has their favorites, this year the top honor went to the Japanese Film ‘Ringu Wandaringu’, a film which
resurrects memories of Tokyo’s hidden war-torn past, as the media-kit described the movie.
Ringu Wandaringu or Ring Wandering (English title) is a masterclass in direction by Masakazu Kaneko, the director of the film. He received the Golden Peacock and a Certificate, in
addition to a cash prize of Rs. 20 lakh; while producer of the film
Takashi Shiotsuki received a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 20
lakh.
