Taapsee Pannu spoke her heart out at a conclave, where she shared her thoughts about finding success in the film-industry.
She very rightly pointed out that film-industry is not about hard work. She said film-industry is not fair, and aspirants should always have a plan B to find success in their career.
Taapsee should know because her initial foray into Bollywood wasn't successful. It was only after her stint down south that she made a mark with her second-foray into Hindi films.
Since then Taapsee has worked in few cult films like Pink, Hassen Dilruba, etc. She even launched her own production-house before settling into matrimony.
Speaking to a rapt audience she also said that she had her second-plan in place if films didn't happen; to finish her MBA and find a corporate job.
She said that since like many others she was an 'outsider' she found that her 'fit' in the industry, like outsiders before her and after her, hugely depend on the way audiences respond to them. If audiences like us, we find ourselves firmly saddled as stars in the industry; if they reject us, time to move on.
