A composed knock by KL Rahul ensured that India win the Champions Trophy.
India is the only unbeaten side in this edition of Champions Trophy. Getting off to a solid start, India were 100 for no loss; but three quick wickets saw India standing at 122 for 3 - resulting in the loss of tempo set by openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.
Virat Kohli was out for a mere 1 run - it was then KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer that stitched the innings together.
It must be credited that New Zealand gave a valiant fightback with a terrific catch of Shubman Gill by Glenn Phillips, that left both Gill and Rohit shocked.
Earlier a very disciplined bowling by India saw the kiwis restricted to 251 for 7 in the 50-overs. There were dropped catches in both the innings - but the match was every bit the excitement, a final ought to be!
