Accidental Drop: Fighter Jet 'Drops' Bomb in South Korea

In South Korea a fighter jet accidentally dropped bombs on a civilian area. Reportedly, though there were no casualties, the incident was scary enough. A report said, the incident saw eight people injured. The 'drop' happened in the city of Pocheon, which is very close to the border with North Korea.

As per the official statement by the air force - a KF-16 fighter jet accidentally dropped eight bombs on a civilian area during a training exercise. The fighter jet was taking part in the air force’s joint live-firing drills with the army It further stated that air force in South Korea would establish a committee to investigate why the accident happened and examine the scale of civilian damages.

The South Korean Air Force apologized for causing civilian damages and expressed hope that those who have been injured due to the incident will have a speedy recovery.
