#TKMU @ Udayan Care Jagshanti Home; Celebrates #BNHAF 22.6 Edition

By - Team Udayan Care

We, team Udayan Care, are absolutely thrilled to share the news about the recognition and appreciation for the Shalinis of Udyan Care, Greater Noida Chapter from the team of #BNAHF Awards and Festival and the most potent talent platform and talent show, Talennt Ka Maha Utsav on Monday, November 17, 2025.

The event marked the formal conclusion of both the 22nd Edition of #BNHAF Awards and Festival and the end of Season 1 of #TKMU Talennt Ka Maha Utsav at Jagshanti Udayan Care.

In just four short years, #BNHAF Awards and Festival has become a major event, and we were especially honored this year as the biggest film franchise from the Indian subcontinent, Bahubali, officially entered the festival.

Event Highlights
The auspicious day was graced by the presence of the Founder of Udayan Care, Dr Kiran Modi, Trustee of Udayan Care and Co-Convener of GNO, Deepak Sharma, Lord Baden-Powell National Award 2020 winning Filmmaker, Amit R Agrwal, and special guest and international runway model, Jitika Devi.

The celebration began with a special screening of Bahubali: Crown of Blood and The Legend of Hanuman, which our Shalinis thoroughly enjoyed.

The screenings were followed by an engaging Workshop led by our guest, Amit R Agrwal, titled "Chanelizing Talent for Better Mental Health and Happiness"; Agrwal involved all participants in creative storytelling and encouraged our Shalinis to showcase and embrace their unique talents.

Success and Finding Success
The event progressed with heartfelt addresses:
Dr. Kiran Modi took the stage to encourage the Shalinis by sharing her own inspiring journey of overcoming challenges and finding success.

Our Co-Convener, Deepak Sharma, recalled the incredible story of Arunima Sinha, who climbed mountains with a prosthetic limb.

Amit R Agrwal also shared his own experience and talked about how he helped other people understand the essence of success. Speaking about #BNHAF, he said that while the entire programming was available online, select films are screened at each #BNHAF. The 22.6 edition concludes in Goa on November 20, 2025 with the screening of Boutique by Iranian film-maker, Pouya Dastgiran.

A particularly moving part of the program was when two of our own Shalinis, Vaidehi and Mehjabi, stepped up to share their personal success stories and what true success means to them.

Award Ceremony
The event concluded with a well-deserved Award Ceremony. Awards were presented to Dr. Kiran Modi, Deepak Sharma, Jitika Devi, and Nidhi Bhatia. We were also incredibly proud to honour our Shalinis: Vaidehi, Mehjabi, Stuti and Vidushi. Tanvi Sharma who participated remotely in #BNHAF Awards and Festival 22.5 Edition was awarded on stage and presented with #TKMU Talks Star Tiara.

Overall, the event was a huge success - impactful, inspiring, and a wonderful celebration for everyone who attended!

Deepak Sharma promised that #BNHAF and Talennt Ka Maha Utsav would recognize and appreciate Shalinis on regular basis throughout the year.

#BNHAF Awards and Festival l Iranian Film Boutique enters 22.6 Edition

By - Aanya

"They say mobile has made everyone in the world a film-maker. As per latest reports around 300,000 films are made every year that are over 10-minutes of length with a minimum budget of USD2000. Zero-budget films are so many that one would loose count,"  these were the words of animal activist and social reformer Rekha Vohra at the closing of 22.5 edition of #BNHAF Awards and Festival.

Since it's inception #BNHAF has given voice to filmmakers across the world.

Of the many filmmakers entering 22.6 edition of #BNHAF, the founder Amit R Agrwal has picked an Iranian film "Boutique" as his favorite. Directed by Pouya Dastgiran, Agrwal said he liked the way the films' narrative unfolds.

Agrwal says his Iran connection goes deep with interactions with such acclaimed filmmakers as Majid Majidi and late Abbas Kiarostami; "interestingly I worked as a lead actor in an Afghan-Iranian film shot in India; and took it to various film-festivals across the world".

Pouya said he feels proud to be part of #BNHAF Awards and Festival that went all the way to include "my film in the official selection".

Pouya hoped that he will be taking part in #BNHAF again with his next film.

If you want to catch quality cinema, here is your chance now to be a part of #BNHAF Awards and Festival.

Press Release l Vice President's Secretariat

The Vice-President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, attended the Commemoration of Parampujya Acharya Shri 108 Shantisagar Maharaj Ji at Shravanabelagola, Karnataka, today, marking the centenary of Acharya Ji’s visit to the sacred site in 1925 for the Mahamastakabhisheka ceremony. The Vice-President also unveiled the idol of Acharya Shri Shantisagar Maharaj Ji at Shravanabelagola.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice-President praised Acharya Shri Shantisagar Maharaj Ji’s pivotal role in revitalizing the Digambara tradition and lauded his life as an embodiment of the Jain principles of Ahimsa, Aparigraha, and Anekantavada, which continue to hold great relevance in fostering inner peace and social harmony.

In an age marked by materialism and restlessness, the Vice-President said, Acharya Shri Shantisagar Maharaj Ji’s life reminds us that true freedom lies not in possession, but in self-restraint — not in indulgence, but in inner peace.

The Vice-President observed that through this centenary celebration, the Digambara Jain Mutt at Shravanabelagola has not only honoured the memory of a great saint but also rekindled a vital spiritual flame for generations to come. He said the newly unveiled statue will stand as a symbol reminding every visitor of the power of simplicity, purity, and compassion. He expressed hope that the message of Acharya Shri Shantisagar Maharaj Ji will continue to inspire all Indians to walk the path of righteousness, tolerance, and peace.

Recalling Shravanabelagola’s illustrious history as a centre of Jain faith for over two thousand years, the Vice-President highlighted the towering 57-foot monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali, commissioned by Ganga dynasty minister Chavundaraya, as a timeless testament to spiritual devotion and artistic excellence.

Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan also reflected on Emperor Chandragupta Maurya’s renunciation at Shravanabelagola under the guidance of Jain saint Acharya Bhadrabahu. He noted that this act of the great emperor symbolized that even after attaining all worldly achievements, one must ultimately seek spiritual enlightenment.

The Vice-President praised the Government of India’s conferment of Classical Language status to Prakrit and the launch of the Gyan Bharatham Mission for digitizing Jain manuscripts, appreciating these efforts to preserve India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. He underscored the strong historical link between Tamil Nadu and Jainism, noting the faith’s profound contributions to Tamil literature and culture during the Sangam and post-Sangam periods, as reflected in classical works such as Silappadikaram.

The Vice-President also commended Shri Abhinav Charukeerthi Bhattarak Swamiji, the current head of the Jain Mutt, for carrying forward the legacy of Acharya Shri Shantisagar Maharaj Ji by promoting healthcare, education, and research through institutions such as the Prakrit Research Institute.

Expressing confidence that Shravanabelagola will remain a shining jewel of India’s spiritual heritage, the Vice-President said it will continue to inspire generations to embrace the principles of righteousness, tolerance, and peace.

Kumaraswamy; Karnataka Minister for Revenue, Shri Krishna Byre Gowda; Karnataka Minister for Planning and Statistics, Shri D. Sudhakar; Member of Parliament from Hassan, Shri Shreyas M. ITT Future You is an initiative founded by the Institute of Travel and Tourism to inspire the next generation of aviation, travel, tourism and hospitality professionals. It acts as a bridge between the education sector and industry and has been developing a portfolio of collaborations focused on helping travel and tourism students find jobs, introduce them to mentors and offer networking opportunities with peers and industry leaders.

The forum has taken place at WTM London every year since 2009. It regularly attracts more than 500 students and graduates, making it one of the most attended sessions over the three days.

WTM London 2025 l WTM London welcomes latest life-changing water projects built with Just a Drop donations

By - Amit kumaR Agarwal

A one-thousand-strong community in rural Kenya has gained access to clean, safe water since last year’s World Travel Market London thanks to attendee donations going towards the show’s long-term
charity partner Just a Drop.

Last year, over £7,900 was raised through donations and built-in exhibitor stand fees, which was then matched by WTM London, with the total reaching almost £16,000.

This money was used to help the Katethya community in Kitui County, Kenya to construct a sand dam to provide clean water for nearly 1,400 people – who are all now able to drink, wash, prepare food and irrigate crops safely.

Dams of this type are built across seasonal rivers during dry periods. In the rainy season, when water flows, sand collects behind the dam, trapping water with it and acting as a natural filtration system. The filtered water can then be extracted through a handpump and well at the side of the river. The Katethya dam is one of four built by Just a Drop in the region.

Other recent WTM London donations have supported Santa Isabela School in Nicaragua where hygienic toilets and handwashing facilities were installed by Just a Drop in July 2024. The school, in the country’s north, is attended by 28 children, whereby previous latrines had become unusable due to disrepair, while a proper washing area was also lacking. Difficulty in maintaining hygiene standards had led to pupils missing school through illness.

Now, two double pit latrines for children and one for staff have been installed along with a handwashing station. Just a Drop also trained teachers, pupils and the school’s Parents Committee on maintenance and best hygiene practices to ensure the long-term sustainability of the improvements.
Already, sickness has reduced, while school attendance improved. The pupils are also benefiting from greater privacy.

WTM London has been formally supporting Just a Drop since 1998 when it became a Founding Partner of the charity. Since then, the travel exhibition has raised a total of £23,353 which has supported 19 safe water projects across six countries. More than 12,000 people have gained access to safe water and sanitation as a result.

Overall, WTM London’s global parent RX, whose exhibitions and initiatives also include Arabian Travel Mart (ATM), Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) and RX Cares, has raised a total £238,986 for Just a Drop, supporting 33 safe water projects across nine countries and reaching almost 44,000 people.

WTM London has extended its partnership with Just a Drop for a further four years, reaffirming its long-term commitment to support the charity at this year’s show taking place from Tuesday 4th to Thursday 6th November.

Chris Carter-Chapman, WTM London Event Director, commented: “At WTM London, we believe travel should be a force for good in the world. Supporting communities to access the most vital of resources – safe drinking water and sanitation, feels a natural fit and we’re delighted to partner with Just a Drop to do so. We look forward to continuing our support in the coming years and thank everyone who has already donated to such a good cause.”

Fiona Jeffery OBE, Founder and Chair of Just a Drop added: “We see first-hand how access to safe water transforms lives. It not only prevents illness but also unlocks opportunities for education and economic growth. We’re grateful to have WTM London as a key partner in enabling that powerful transformation for more people across the world and hope the show’s attendees will continue to give generously.”

To find out more and speak to Just a Drop representatives in person, visit the charity’s interactive stand (S5-209) next to the new WTM Trend Fest cultural programme stage at WTM London 2025.

Talennt Ka Maha Utsav Season 1 Winds Up With #BNHAF 22.6 Edition

By - Monu Kumar

#BNHAF Awards and Festival 22nd edition winds up with, sub-edition 6 - 22.6 edition - starting from November 17, 2025 to December 20, 2025 - to be held in Delhi-NCR, Goa, Mumbai and Bangalore.

The event also sees the formal conclusion of Talennt Ka Maha Utsav Season 1 #TKMU.

The 22nd edition, the founder, Amit R Agrwal says is special, as we gave "concrete shape to #TKMU's initiative to serve the society; we collaborated with Udayan Care, an NGO with amazing work in uplifting the life of underprivileged girls."

Dr. Kiran Modi, founder and managing trustee of Udayan Care said that though they are working towards providing a better future to these under-privileged girls, "there are issues like outreach, infrastructure, the eco-system and the funding. It feels great that by hosting #BNHAF Awards and Festival and Talennt Ka Maha Utsav at select homes of Udayan Care, we can motivate the girls not only to excel, but also appreciate and applause their efforts."

Deepak Sharma, trustee, Udayan Care said "very subtly such associations work towards capacity building as well as grooming personality and giving the girls much needed voice to confidently shine on a global platform. I am happy that when I shared with Amit, the work Udayan Care is doing, Amit was all game for the association".

Rekha Vohra, global talent mentor, Talennt Ka Maha Utsav said, "I have seen Amit give first break to many aspiring talent, even to the international talent, attending the Cannes Film Festival; so I won't be surprised, if one or more of these girls go on to become formidable talents tomorrow - be it chef, speaker, influencer, fashion-icon, spiritual guru or what have you".

Agrwal said that Talennt Ka Maha Utsav is taking small but firm strides to illuminate the lives of 8.02 Billion global population. "Mental Health is fast becoming a pandemic, governments across the world are recognizing it; yet a lot has to be done, so that the humanity doesn't lose the human ethics and core-values. Talent is the best way to channelize your mental health into achieving, both inner-peace as well as glory - the two vital components of success!"

Rekha Vohra said 23rd Edition of #BNHAF Awards and Festival will be launched in 2026 and hoped that all deserving talent, through Talennt Ka Maha Utsav, can bring about a positive change in the society.
