BO on Friday l Bollywood Today

By: Amit kumaR Agarwal

July 18 saw the release of four Hindi films, Saiyaara, Nikita Roy, Tanvi The Great, Murderbaad.

While on one hand the record-opening showing of Saiyaara brought cheers to the industry; the abject and outright rejection of the other three films, sent shivers down the trade-fraternity. The showing once again highlighted the polarization in the tastes of the audiences. Either the film is a blockbuster of epic-proportions or an outright reject.

Not that industry expected any big showing from these films - Nikita Roy, Tanvi The Great and Murderbaad - but the select shows these films got, were cancelled at properties because there was no-show by the audiences!

It is high-time producers ideate well, not just to make a film, but the way they will take the film to market after completing the film.

Saiyaara Reiterates The Saying About Film Business

By: Amit kumaR Agarwal

Two weeks back during a press-show at Delite Cinema in New Delhi, people asked me, my calendar of films in cinemas for July, August. Saiyaara and War 2 - I didn't even took fraction of a second to answer.

While everyone expected me to include War 2, they were like why Saiyaara. A trade-pundit even predicted that the film will take a 2crore to 2.5crore opening on July 18.

Cut to July 17, the same pundit called, "Amit ji film soongh lete ho kya", he was like the film is taking an opening of 20crores to 25crores - 10 times more of what he had predicted two weeks back.

Trade-pundits are all agog about what worked for Saiyaara - with almost no promotions; many films' have good music, intimacy onscreen is no big thing today, the storyline seems routine - so what worked for Saiyaara?

Saiyaara once again reiterates what William Goldman famously said about movie-business, "no one knows anything".

Frankly, Saiyaara has gone on the trajectory of director's earlier, Aashiqui 2; only that the trajectory is almost vertical and much stronger. Whether the film will do 200 crores or more, only time will tell - but it is going to be the biggest hit starring an all new cast - there are no two ways about it!

The storyline seems to be pretty routine though, the hero rubbing the relative of the heroine the wrong way. The heroine 'making' the hero 'fall in love' and then breaking his heart. The narrative is all about how he wins the heroine back. Does he succeed or not?

#BNHAF launches #BNAHF #TKMU Female Icons Award

By - Aanya

#BNHAF Awards and Festival International Editions in USA, France and Switzerland
#BNHAF Awards and Festival in it's 22nd Edition has launched #BNHAF Female Icons Award in association with "Talennt Ka Maha Utsav".

Amit kumaR Agarwal founder of Bhaarat Bol News vertical said that the idea is to celebrate females, that are unfortunately not celebrated in the plethora of awards that happen; particularly in Delhi-NCR, at the drop of the hat!

To ensure that awards are conferred on females that support social cause, Agarwal has limited the awards to 6 per edition.

6 Female Icons Honored in each edition of #BNHAF
Agarwal elaborated that the award honors females with substance, with a 'true-value' award that comes with definite set of deliverables. Ankeeta, a model and an entrepreneur said, "I was bored of awards that gave me usage / marketing rights of my pictures and videos taking the award. This is the biggest bluff any award can claim as a deliverable. Isn't it?"
  1. #TKMU #BNHAF Female Icon Award One pre-recorded reel of 1-minute about you and your achievements
  2. These reels of each Awardee is screened at #BNHAF Awards and Festival
  3. #TKMU Tiara for each Awardee
  4. Speaking opportunity to the awardee as per the contract
  5. One news-article on Bhaarat Bol News news-portal before the award with two pictures
  6. One news-article on Bhaarat Bol News news-portal after the award with two pictures
  7. One-page feature on Bhaarat Bol News e-magazine
    • Like other awards, we aren't counting photos and videos, usage rights; since by default you have them
    • We are also not counting coverage on news-channels, since the top-channels don't even air the news, though it is recorded!

Rekha Vohraa, one of the board members of #BNHAF Awards and Festival said, "come to think of it, I am part of many groups that spend obnoxious amounts of money in taking awards that are mere blink-a-miss. Amit is actually adding value to the profile by connecting #BNHAF Awards with causes integral to the PM's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047."

Agarwal said he wanted to launch this award on the 25th Anniversary of #BNHAF, "but just two days back, I was at a fashion event at The Grand, five to-six females across my social-circuit bumped into me and asked about #BNHAF Awards, "आप हमें कब अवार्ड दे रहे हो, हमने सोसाइटी के लिए ये किया है, I decided to honor their commitment towards society by creating a dedicated category for females."

Vohraa said, reason she asked Agarwal to put 'female' in the award is because, it is age agnostic - a female kid of 10 or 12 can take the award, as well as, a senior citizen of 82, too can take the award.

Press Release l President's Secretariat

The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu graced the convocation ceremony of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, today (June 30, 2025).

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that our culture, based on the life value of 'Ishavasyam Idam Sarvam', sees the presence of God in all living beings. The belief that our gods and sages communicated with animals is also based on the same thinking.

The President said that humans have a relationship of co-existence with forests and wildlife. She pointed out that many species have either become extinct or are on the verge of extinction. She emphasized that the conservation of these species is crucial for biodiversity and the health of the Earth. She said that the power of thinking and understanding that God has given to humans should be used for the welfare of all living beings. The corona pandemic has warned mankind that a culture based on consumption can cause unimaginable damage not only to mankind but also to other living beings and the environment.

The President said that today, the concept of 'one health' is gaining importance across the world. This concept believes that humans, domestic and wild animals, flora and the wider environment are all interdependent. We should strive for animal welfare. She said that as a premier veterinary institute, IVRI could play an important role in this field, especially in the prevention and control of zoonotic diseases.

The President said that technology, like other fields, has the potential to bring revolutionary changes in veterinary medicine and care too. The use of technology can empower veterinary hospitals across the country. Use of technologies like genome editing, embryo transfer technologies, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics can bring revolutionary changes in this field. She appealed to institutes like IVRI to find indigenous and low-cost treatments and nutrition for the animals. She said that they should also look for alternatives to those medicines whose side effects affect not only animals but also humans and the environment.

The President appreciated the students of IVRI for choosing the treatment and welfare of innocent and voiceless animals as their career. She advised them to think about those animals in case of a dilemma in their life and career. She said that it would show them the right path. She urged students to become entrepreneurs and establish start-ups in various fields of animal science. She said that with this endeavour, they will not only be able to employ the needy but will also be able to contribute to the country's economy.
