  • Stray dogs have often polarized the society regarding differing views on them. Are they a menace or are they cute. The debate continues unabated.
Rekha Vohraa of Rekha Vohraa Foundation says that she is the self-professed champion of the cause for stray dogs. She says she feeds 100 dogs daily, other than the medical care, her foundation gives.

Adopting a stray dog or a street dog, is something we choose because it means you're giving someone the life they deserve, and it’s like restoring what they lost.

So essentially, are we going to talk about why we should adopt a street dog?

First of all, the place to live means shelter, food, and especially people who genuinely want, respect, value, and care for them, not just for the sake of showing off and pretending to look nicer or something else; everyone deserves a second chance in life, so why not dog? They are at least a loyal companion we all crave for.

These dogs already have faced hardship or tough conditions, whether it’s hunger, illness, extreme weather, or neglect to abuse.

Do they really deserve this? Just because they can’t speak doesn’t mean they don’t feel
Adopting a street dog comes with many benefits both for the dog and the adopter, like it helps reduce the number of animals living on the streets, providing them with a chance for a healthier and safer life or environment, and street dogs tend to be highly adaptable, often making the transition into a new home with ease and forming deep connections or relationships with their families.

Streep dogs, moreover, are usually more self-sufficient and less prone to behavioral issues than purebred dogs, as they’ve had to survive on their own.

While adopting a street dog may demand patience and attention at first, the reward of seeing them blossom in a nurturing home is unparalleled.

Through adoption, you not only change their life but also gain a devoted, affectionate friend.
