Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary, held bilateral consultations in Moscow, Russia. Vikram Misri's visit to Moscow is to hold bilateral Foreign Office Consultations with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko.
During his visit, Foreign Secretary Misri also met with Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Presidential Executive Office; Yury Ushakov, Aide to the Russian President; and Alexey Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The discussions and talks between Vikram Misri and Andrey Rudenko covered a wide range of bilateral ties, as well as regional and global issues of mutual interest. Both the countries, also reviewed the progress on key decisions taken during the 22nd Annual Summit held in Moscow earlier in July 2024 and the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan.
The discussions also assessed developments done from the 25th session of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological, and Cultural Cooperation, held in New Delhi in November 2024, along with other high-level engagements.
