Father of the Film City in Northern India and pioneer of film-education in India, Dr. Sandeep Marwah recently lauded the Talennt Ka Maha Utsav initiative by AAFT Alumnus and cult filmpreneur, Amit R Agrwal.
Agrwal recently met Dr. Marwah at Marwah Studios, highlighting the success of Talennt Ka Maha Utsav Season 1 curated films in Europe - Cannes Film Festival and in Switzerland and Italy (Zurich, Basel, Rome and Milan).
Dr. Marwah was very happy with the giant strides Agrwal took from Pre-Season to Season 1 of Talennt Ka Maha Utsav. He also congratulated Agrwal on walking his 50th Red Carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.
Speaking exclusively to Bhaarat Bol News, Dr. Marwah said that "I am proud to have Amit as a star alumnus of AAFT. After learning the ropes in mainstream Bollywood, he charted a completely unique path for film-makers from India with guerrilla film-making. He has made 25 feature-films and more than 10,000 hours of content in 17 years. I guess no film-maker has done such prolific work in a span of 17-years".
Agrwal was full of gratitude for Dr. Sandeep Marwah and AAFT, " I got my first lessons in film-making from AAFT. Dr. Marwah, personally nurtured us, what more could I have asked for as a student. The best part is the bond of admiration and respect is still intact even after 20 years. I know for me Sandeep sir is only a phone call away".
On being queried if Talennt Ka Maha Utsav will be doing something at Marwah Studios, Agrwal gushed, "a lot of things are being planned, but let me give out the details, closer to the date we set the camera rolling".
