Cinema l Dhurandhar Goes On Historic Run in Week 2

By - Amit kumaR Agarwal

Dhurandhar made news for all the right reasons; though there is a section of pseudo-leftist propagandists that tried to find all the wrong reasons with the film.

A self-styled critic, Anupama, found political agenda in the film, if there was any political agenda it is in the films of her husband, Vidhu with films like Mission Kashmir, PK, Shikara to name a few - didn't these films promote a certain narrative?

No wonder her biased review was pulled down by The Hollywood Reporter, India. The guild she is a chairperson of with some 60-70 members doesn't and will never represent the sentiments or feelings of 12,000 film critics that India boasts of! Hope she is more responsible pushing aside biases and personal agendas in her future reviews.

Setting the negativities apart, Dhurandhar did, what so-called 'spy pulp-fiction' films couldn't - It is seeing a historic second week with record second Friday collections of Rs.34.72 crores. It means the audiences are liking, and lining-up for the film, irrespective of Anupamas, Deepas, Arfas, Sucharitas spewing venom.

If the film is not hit by Avatar: Fire and Ash, Dhurandhar is on the course to become the highest grossing Indian film ever!

Not Just A Review l Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2

By - Amit kumaR Agarwal

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon was a moderate success in 2015, after more than a decade Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 releases and to be honest is a yawn yarn rather than a comedy.

The base of comedy is mostly confusion and situational errors, naturally it is the screenplay that is almost the parallel-hero; here however this parallel-hero is flat, as such comedy is hardly there.

Kapil Sharma is eons better on his show, Manjot Singh is repetitive. Amongst the four lead actresses Tridha Choudhury impresses the most. Supporting cast suffers from under-developed roles.

The narrative is caught in a time-warp, as it reminds one of Govinda-David Dhawan comedies of the mid-90's. Technically the film is just about average. Anukalp Goswami's direction is very weak, even at a short length of about 2-hours, the film looks over-stretched.

To be honest, it is better to watch The Kapil Sharma Show rather than this film, it is a sure-shot non-performer.

Dhurandhar v/s Avatar: Fire and Ash - who will affect whom?

By - Amit kumaR Agarwal

When two films become big hits, one or the other film takes a hit.

Gadar 2 affected OMG 2; Saiyaara was affected a lot by Mahavatar Narsimha and very recently Dhurandhar almost put a full stop to the collections of Tere Ishq Mein.

Dhurandhar doing brisk business, also tore deep into the self-styled film-critics like Anupama and Deepa - illustrating once again that they are just faffing social-media icons with little or no knowledge about the film-business or audiences' taste! These are the people that give flop propagandas like Haider five-stars; and call realistic films 'propaganda films'.

Coming back to the core topic, for sure one or the other film between Dhurandhar and Avatar: Fire and Ash will take a hit - if Dhurandhar takes a hit, it's business will be curtailed by about 30% - however, if Avatar takes a hit, it will mean far bigger implications - because then Avatar will be reduced to just an average fare in India.

Whatever the case, it has been a bullish box-office with three blockbusters and hits, in only one month - Tere Ishq Mein, Dhurandhar and now Avatar: Fire and Ash.

#BNHAF Tiara l Philanthropy Gets A New High

By - Aanya

  • Vaidehi, one of the winners of #BNHAF Tiara said, "though I am a theatre artist and activist, the kind of commercialization tiaras have become, particularly in Delhi-NCR is heart-breaking. Here the girls from under-privileged background too have a chance to win the tiara"
Agarwal said that other than philanthropy, #BNHAF Tiara is a sought after tiara amongst actresses and models too. Ankeeta Singh, winner of Ms. Ghaziabad, beauty pageant and one of the winners added, "both for established as well as for aspiring ones".

Bhaarat Bol News, very recently started it's philanthropy initiative. The founder and editor-in-chief of BBN, Amit kumaR Agarwal believes that happiness is the only way forward for world-peace.

Continuing the association with Udayan Care, an NGO shaping the future of children and young adults, Agarwal recently launched #BNHAF Tiara in India, after it's debut at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

Agarwal said, "in Cannes we launched the #BNHAF Cannes Edition this year that happens on the sidelines of Cannes Film Festival. The reason is many Indians feel left out in the hugely busy Cannes, we are giving those Indians a platform to celebrate their Cannes journey.

Deepak Sharma, trustee, Udayan Care said "our association with Amit goes for 3-years now, the initiatives he has taken to bring happiness and a sense of achievement for children and young adults here at Udayan Care is simply unmatched"

Mehjabi, another winner of the #BNHAF tiara said, "the fact that girls such as myself, that consider us very normal, devoid of the glamour-quotient the winners at various beauty-pageants have; is very encouraging and morale-bossting, in the sense we too have the right mix of beauty and brains".

Coffee trends on no.2 for 10-days in a row; features award-winner Jitika

By - Aanya

Talent and it's appreciation is perspective, it varies amongst the viewers, "but the number of shows a talent has done or the number of OTT's a talent is on, is definitive", Jitika says as a matter-of-fact.

"This definite number is what, we are delivering to each talent taking part in Talennt Ka Maha Utsav", gushed Amit R Agrwal, Lord-Baden Powell National Award 2020 winning filmmaker and founder of Talennt Ka Maha Utsav.

Jitika said that she is very happy playing the lead in Coffee, "earlier I did films of big production-houses, where I was sitting in a metro next to Shahrukh Khan or eating pizza on a table next to Shraddha Kapoor; but coffee is the first project where I am the solo-lead and the focus is on me. I want to do more solo-lead roles that help me grow as an actress".

Jitika reiterated Agrwal's views, "blink-you-miss, role in big films or lead roles in small indie-films for film-festival circuit, one has to make this career-defining choice".

"With the competition mounting not every year or every month; but every week, one has to be smart to make this tough choice" Agrwal smiled; "else you will be nowhere" chuckled Jitika, completing Agrwal's statement.

Sholay l Film With The Highest Footfalls Returns On The Big Screen

By - Amit kumaR Agarwal

Ask anywhere in the world, where Bollywood is even scantily known, they would know two films for sure - Sholay and Awaara - such is the legacy that even 50 years and 70+ years down the line - audiences remember them!

Sholay re-releases tomorrow as The Final Cut - reportedly with the original ending, the chilling killing of Sachin and more!

Are the audiences excited?

Yes, says Tejpal from Bihar, he first watched Sholay as a 15-year teenager in a non-descript cinema in Bihar, today he has got the tickets of the biggest multiplex chain in India to watch his favorite film. He says, I watched Sholay 50 times in cinema when it released in 1975, it reached my village in 1978 - but still the shows were housefull. "I am going to watch my favorite actor Amitabh Bachchan and his buddy, Veeru played by late actor, Dharmendra".

Tashi, a cub-reporter with a leading national daily, that described Sholay as a "violent potpourri curry western" in its original review in 1975, says "Sholay holds a legacy, it is 'THE FILM' with the highest number of footfalls ever in India and probably, the world!"

While many films 70's and 80's films, still run in the interiors of India - Sholay is the only film that has re-released three times at the biggest multiplex chains across India, since 2000!
