Ever-since Katrina Kaif reportedly walked out of Abbas-Mustan’s supposed remake of the The Italian Job, casting the female lead has been difficult. Reports say that the film is supposed to go on floors in November. The rumor-mills are rife that Sonam Kapoor was approached for the heroine’s role in the film top-lined by Abhishek Bachchan with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bobby Deol playing the other heroes.
However this seems premature because Sonam’s dates are reportedly with Pankaj Kapoor for Mausam. Apparently he has forbidden the actress from taking any new films till the time she finishes off his directorial debut.
An interesting twist in the tale is that Neil Nitin Mukesh is busy persuading his good friend Deepika Padukone to join the cast as the female lead.
