Reports are rife in Hollywood that none other than director, Sam Mendes will helm the new film in Bond franchise.
After directing the latest James Bond adventure, Skyfall,
to over $1 billion in global box office receipts, Mendes is in
talks with Sony Pictures and MGM to reprise his role as the director for the sequel, 007's
24th outing.
It may be recalled that the 47-year-old director had categorically stated that he doesn't want to return to Bond franchise. Though, now it appears that he has had a change of heart and is all set to wield the megaphone for next Bond blockbuster!
Though there have been rumors in Hollywood about Christopher Nolan or Ang Lee taking over, it seems Sam Mendes will sign on as the director soon.
Oscar-nominated screenwriter, John Logan is currently writing as yet untitled, Bond 24, which will see Daniel Craig once again reprising his role as the suave and sexy Bond.
