Rasha Thadani, fresh from her debut in Azaad, recently opened up to the media about, failure of stars to find superstardom. Though Azaad tanked without a trace, Rasha made a very impressive debut, with her song "Uyi Amma..", the only saving grace in the hugely forgettable film.
Speaking to the media she talked about stardom and how it has been hit hard due to easy accessibility of supposed 'celebrities' on social media. She would know, because in a recent India Today survey, the most loved hero of the country was Amitabh Bachchan followed by a distant second Shahrukh Khan - mind you, their age is 82 and 59 respectively!
Rasha feels social media is both positive and negative - a two-faced coin - that both helps connect with fans as also, is very demanding because one ought to put new reels, new pictures, everyday.
An upcoming model in Delhi-NCR, Tanya says that she knows 'influencers' with half-a-million followers trying to find work - that is what social media platforms are today - anyone can 'buy' half-a-million followers for a pittance.
Rasha continues that Shraddha Kapoor and probably, Deepika Padukone are the best examples of how to stay relevant on social media together with maintaining superstardom.
On the work front, Rasha is looking at the scripts and is very hopeful that her second-outing would be a blockbuster.
