The Prime Minister met the President of the European Council, António Luís Santos da Costa and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen at the Hyderabad House, in New Delhi during the inking of vital trade agreement between India and the European Union.
Costa and Leyen were in India as guests for the 77th Republic Day Of India. The deal is seen by economic analysts as being very vital for the economy; both for the countries in the EU and India.
Experts opine the deal will give a major fillip to trade, commerce, economy and tourism and charter a new era of growth and development.
