Delhi Chief Minister, Suspense Ends

Ever-since BJP won the Delhi State elections; media was abuzz with the big question, "who will be the Delhi CM?"

Several names were speculated, but  ultimately, the BJP top-whip played safe, picking up, Rekha Gupta, as the Delhi CM. The BJP announced today after a decision that was made at a legislature party meeting that Rekha Gupta will be the next Delhi chief minister. 

PM Modi, Amit Shah and other key leaders are likely to attend the oath-taking ceremony at the Ramlila Maidan on February 20, with the event, set to begin at 11 am on Thursday. 

Preparations for the oath-taking ceremony at the iconic Ramlila Maidan of Delhi are underway. The swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, and several other senior leaders and party workers.

Ramlila Maidan, can accommodate around 30,000 people, a BJP leader said the location was chosen as it was at that historic location that the first mega protest, led by Jayaprakash Narayan, was held in 1975.
